I designed the logo for SFF Lab, which is a collective of creators making technology products by and for enthusiasts. SFF Lab’s logo is symbolic of three tenets: uniqueness, craftsmanship, and community. The triangles that make up the logo have been arranged in an unusual way that evokes images of quilt squares or folded paper, speaking to the high-quality artisan products SFF Lab produces. Its careful assembly reminds the viewer that SFF Lab’s inventors put thoughtfulness and care into their work. The logo’s shape can simultaneously be interpreted as a piece of machinery, which is in line with SFF Lab’s mission. The central, canted hexagon created by the triangles represents the coming together of enthusiasts to create excellent work.
