Innovasea designs, develops, and implements environmentally sustainable aquatic solutions around the world. It designs and builds pens that can withstand harsh weather conditions and uses monitoring technology that can be controlled remotely and in real-time. Its land-based division provides and designs recirculating aquaculture systems, an environmentally-friendly approach that's based on a closed-loop system. Innovasea also develops and implements groundbreaking technology that tracks aquatic animals. This technology is used for important environmental studies.

Branding
As Innovasea's first graphic designer, I built its brand from the ground up. I was also responsible for maintaining the visual identity across all business units.

The color palette

Innovasea's colors are sampled from photos of life in oceans and waterways; they’ve been modified to be more conducive to designs across a wide range of deisgn assets. All colors can be printed true to how they appear on screens.

Web Design
Innovasea's website got a complete overhaul as part of its re-brand. I designed all aspects of the website, including separate mockups for pages that weren't conducive to automated responsiveness. Explore Innovasea's:

Art Direction & Motion Design
This video showcases Innovasea's modular approach to Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS). I provided the art direction and graphics. The animation work was done by Anthony Gentles.
Infographic Illustrations
I built these infographic illustrations to demonstrate Innovasea's complex aquaculture systems. They live on the Innovasea website as infographics that contain interactive elements for users to explore.
open ocean aquaculture
A system of offshore pens that can be submerged to protect them from harsh weather. Cameras and sensors monitor information that can be viewed and controlled remotely.

recirculating aquaculture system
An RAS is a closed-loop, land-based system that relies on water filtration and treatment to allow about 99% of water to be reused. This recirculation is environmentally-friendly.

feeding
Feeding occurs while the pen is submerged, which protects the fish from rough seas or threats such as algal blooms or parasites.

aeration and oxygenation
Remotely adjusts oxygen levels to mitigate  environmental challenges like harmful algal blooms (HABs), low dissolved oxygen events, temperature fluctuations, and hydroid/jellyfish infestations.
